Why do they continue
to build houses
without leaving any grass, not
leaving any grass,
not leaving any grass,
not leaving any grass.
Hey no!
if we keep up this way,
who knows how we'll end up!?
And therefore the second story that
I want to tell to you,
is the one about the shepherd named Serafino--
to the ancient world, closed in their heart,
people of the two-thousand's no longer believe!
With the sheep and a faithful dog,
three trusted friends,
in the pastures on the mountains,
at one “arm length” (fig.) from the "kingdom of heavens"
happy he lived !
chorus:
Oh Serafino... defend,
defend your your freedom!
The freedom!
Voice:
That young shepherd
appealed to to the girls
because in his eyes he had adventure!
And when struck by luck
and a lump of money he inherited...
chorus:
There was a great feast
to make one's head spin!
there were firecrackers,
there were banquets!
For everyone there was
a smile, what days of
paradise those were
for the rich shepherd Serafino!

Gave gifts to friends,
what a joy in the village
for the mad shopping .A
shawl, a radio, a knife
and a red car for himself!
Chorus:
Oh Serafino...
the women, the women want you
how lucky you are!
"tiero, tiero, tiero, tiero,
tierà, tierà, tierà ".
He pushes and pushes the car
until it ends up in a ravine
and in flames it bursts!
Voice:
After the days of joy
bitter remains the wine...
Serafino finds himself in court!
His enemies, in order to get his money
make him pass for crazy
and what does he do?
He takes the sheep and dog,
his trusted friends
and he returns on the mountains,
in the largest house of the world
that ceiling and walls does not have!
Chorus:
Oh Serafino... defend,
defend your freedom
The freedom!
Voice: I love You Shepherd Serafino
a man with a child's heart.
Chorus:
...and free like pure air in the morning
to live there on the mountains, returns Serafino!
