{1}The Santa Ana winds are strong, extremely dry offshore winds that
characteristically sweep through in Southern California and northern Baja
California in late fall into winter. They can range from hot to cold,
depending on the prevailing temperatures in the source regions, the Great
Basin and upper Mojave Desert. However, the winds are remembered most for
the hot dry weather (often the hottest of the year).
{2}People say that when the Santa Anas blow that they have an effect on
them, much like the full moon might affect someone. From his book [Red
Wind,] Raymond Chandler, a popular mystery novelist, writes, ["Those hot dry
winds that come down through the mountain passes, curls your hair and make
your nerves jump and your skin itch. On nights like that every booze party

Aliotta, Haynes & Jeremiah biography
Aliotta, Haynes & Jeremiah were a Chicago-based, rock group who performed from the early 1970s to the mid-1980s. Originally from West Allis, Wisconsin, the trio, cosisting of bassist Mitch Aliotta (vocals, drums), Ted Aliotta (vocals, bass), and Skip Haynes ( lead guitar, drums), cut their first album, a self-titled, rather short LP, in 1970. Ted left after the debut album was recorded and was replaced by John Jeremiah (vocals & keyboard). Having a huge "cult" following, and being excellent singers & musicians helped to keep the group alive and motivated and until they broke up in the mid-1980s.
