I was once out strolling one very hot summer's day,
When I thought I'd lay myself down to rest,
In a big field of tall grass.
I lay there in the sun and felt it caressing my face,
As I fell asleep and dreamed.
I dreamed I was in a Hollywood movie,
And that I was the star of the movie.
This really blew my mind.
The fact that me, an overfed, long-haired, leaping gnome,
Should be the star of a Hollywood movie. Hmmm.
But there I was. Hmmm.
Sung:
I was taken to a place, the Hall of the Mountain King.
I stood high upon a mountain top, naked to the world.
In front of every kind of girl.
There was long ones, tall ones, short ones,
Brown ones, black ones, round ones, big ones, crazy ones.
Out of the middle, came a lady.
The lady speaks something in Spanish over the next two lines.
She whispered in my ear, something crazy,
She said,
"Spill the wine and take that pearl,
Spill the wine and take that pearl,
Spill the wine and take that pearl,
Spill the wine and take that pearl."
I thought to myself what could that mean?
Am I going crazy?
The lady speaks something in Spanish throughout this verse.
Or is this just a dream?
Now, wait a minute,
I know I'm lying in a field of grass somewhere,
So it's all in my head,
And then I heard her say, one more time,
"Spill the wine and take that pearl,
Spill the wine and take that pearl,
Spill the wine and take that pearl,
Spill the wine and take that pearl."
I could feel hot flames of fire roaring at my back.
As she disappeared, but soon she returned.

In her hand was a bottle of wine, in the other, a glass.
She poured some of the wine from the bottle into the glass,
And raised it to her lips,
And just before she drank it, she said.
"Take the wine, take that pearl,
Spill the wine, take that pearl,
Spill the wine, take that pearl,
Amo, amo.
Spill the wine, take that pearl."
Take that pearl.
Yeah, it's all girl.
You gotta do it.
Spill that wine, spill that wine.
Make me feel, make me feel fine, yeah, yeah.
Oh, almost.
Spillthewine, spillthewine, spillthewine,
Fade.
Spillthewine, spillthewine, spillthewine.
Take that pearl. Ahhhh!

The Animals biography
The Animals were an English group of the 1960s, known in the United States as part of the British Invasion. Recognized for their spirited bluesy sound and deep-voiced lead singer, Eric Burdon, their signature songs "The House of the Rising Sun" and "We Gotta Get Out of This Place," exemplify the band's tough, rock-edged, pop style. The Animals were second only to the Rolling Stones in influencing other R&B and rock bands.
Formed in 1962/1963 in Newcastle upon Tyne, England, the Animals underwent numerous personnel changes and had a couple of reunions before disbanding in 1984.
According to the website Making Time, that discusses British music of the '60s, they were dubbed "animals" because of their wild stage act and the name stuck. The Animals' had moderate success in their hometown and a connection with Yardbirds' manager Giorgio Gomelsky motivated them to move to London in 1964.
