{1b}SPEEA stands for the Society of Professional Engineering Employees in Aerospace. It is a union association that represents engineers who work at various aerospace companies in the United States. SPEAA has a very large membership in the Seattle area, particularly at the Boeing Company, which makes commercial and government airplanes, and integrated defense systems. Bob Rivers, who is responsible for the parody, is a resident of Seattle and the host of a daily radio program.
