Now folks, here's a story about Minnie the Moocher
She was a red hot hoochie coocher
She was the roughest, toughest frail
but Minnie had a heart as big as a whale

Hidee-Hidee-Hidee-hi
Hodee-hodee-hodee-ho
Heedey-hee-dee-hee-dee hee
Hidee-hidee-hidee-ho

She messed around with a bloke named Smoky
She loved him though he was cokey
He took her down to Chinatown
And showed her how to kick that gong around

Hidee-Hidee-Hidee-hi
Wooooooh
Heedey-hee-dee-hee-dee hee
Hidee-hidee-hidee-ho

She had a dream that the King of Sweden
He gave her things that she was needin'
He built her a house of gold and steel
A diamond car with platinum wheels

hidee-hidee-hidee-hidee-hidee-hidee-hi
hodee-hodee-hodee-hodee-hodee-hodee-ho

scoodley-woo-scoodley-woo-scoodle
y-woodley-woodley-woo
zit-dit-dit-dit-dittle-but-
dut-du-ttleoo-skit-dit-
skittle-but-dit-z-oy

Each meal she ate was a dozen courses
Had a million dollars worth of nickels and dimes
she sat around and counted
them all a million times

Hidee-Hidee-Hidee-hi
Hodee-hodee-hodee-ho
Heedey-hee-dee-hee-dee hee
Hidee-hidee-hidee-ho

Now Min and Smokey, they started jaggin
They got a free ride in a wagon
She gave him money to pay her bail
But he left her flat in the county jail

Hidee-Hidee-Hidee-hey
Hedee-Hedee-He
Hodee-Hodee-ho

Oh Minn met old Deacon Lowdown
He preached to her that she oughta slowdown
But Minnie wiggled her jelly roll
And Deacon Lowdown yelled please save my soul

Hodee-Hidee-Hidee-hey
Hedee-Hedee-He
Hodee-Hodee-ho

They took her where they put the crazies
And now poor Min is pushin up those dasies
You heard my story. this ends my song
She was just a good gal but they done her wrong
Poor Min, Poor Min, Poor Min.

Bobby Darin (born Walden Robert Cassotto, May 14, 1936–December 20, 1973), was an American singer, actor and musician.

Darin performed in a wide range of music genres, including pop, jazz, folk and country. Although unknown to his public, his health was dangerously fragile and strongly motivated him to succeed within the limited lifetime he feared he would, and ultimately did, have.

He was also an actor, singer/songwriter and music business entrepreneur. His wish for a legacy was, "...to be remembered as a human being and as a great performer." Among his many other contributions, he became a goodwill ambassador for the American Heart Association.

Early years: Bobby Darin was born to a poor, working-class, Italian-American family in the Bronx, New York. The person thought to be his father (who was actually his grandfather) died in jail a few months before he was born. It was the height of the Great Depression, and he once remarked that his .....MORE.....(full Bobby Darin biography)
