(originally aired from 1955 to 1959), produced by the Disney Corporation,
featuring a regular but ever-changing cast of teenage performers. The
series has been revived, reformatted and reimagined several times since
its initial run.
3Refers to the signoff that Jimmy Durante said at the end of his radio
shows (1933-1934) and later his TV shows (1950-1955). He would say,
"Good night, Mrs. Calabash, wherever you are." It became a national
catchphrase, due in part to the fact that Durante never revealed the meaning
of the phrase, preferring instead to keep it a mystery.
