Johnny Cash Lyrics
Lyrics
It ain't me, babe
Hurt
Ring of fire
I walk the line
I won't back down
Cry, cry, cry
Folsom prison blues
I've been everywhere
25 minutes to go
Bridge over troubled
One piece at a time
Country boy
Man in black
Would you lay with me
I hung my head

The Man Comes Around: American IV

Johnny Cash We'll Meet Again Lyrics:
We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when.
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.
Keep smilin' through, just like you always do,
Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.

And will you please say, "Hello," to the folks that I know.
Tell 'em that I won't be long.
And they'll be happy to know that when you saw me go,
I was singing this song.

We'll meet again, don't know where, on't know when.
But I know we'll meet again some sunny day.

[Spoken:]
Yeah, we'll meet again, I don't know where and I don't know when.
But I do know that we'll meet again some sunny day.
So, Honey, keep on smilin' through just like you always do,
Till the blue skies drive the dark clouds far away.

[Sung:]

[WE'LL MEET AGAIN]
[Written by: Hughie Charles & Ross Parker [1]
Performed by: Johnny Cash
Appears on: American (Recordings) IV: The Man Comes Around-2002,
Unearthed-2003, et al.]

[1] "We'll Meet Again" is a 1939 song made famous by British singer
Vera Lynn (#29 (US, 1954)) with music written by Ross Parker and
words by Hughie Charles. The song is one of the most famous songs
of the Second World War era, and resonated with soldiers going off
to fight and their families and sweethearts. The assertion that
"we'll meet again" is optimistic, as many soldiers did not survive
to see their loved ones again. Indeed, the meeting place at some
unspecified time in the future would have been seen by many who
lost loved ones to be heaven.]
