Teen angel, teen angel, teen angel, ooh, ooh

That fateful night the car was stalled
Upon the railroad track
I pulled you out and we were safe
But you went running back

Teen angel, can you hear me?
Teen angel, can you see me?
Are you somewhere up above
And I am still your own true love?

What was it you were looking for?
That took your life that night
They said they found my high school ring
Clutched in your fingers tight

Teen angel, can you hear me?
Teen angel, can you see me?
Are you somewhere up above
And I am still your own true love?

Just sweet sixteen and now you're gone
They've taken you away
I'll never kiss your lips again
They buried you today

Teen angel, can you hear me?
Teen angel, can you see me?
Are you somewhere up above
And I am still your own true love?
Teen angel, teen angel, answer me, please

Max E. "Mark" Dinning, born August 17, 1933, was an American, teen idol, and pop music singer.

Even though he was born in Oklahoma, Dinning grew up on a farm outside of Nashville, Tennessee. From came from a musical family where he was one of nine children. Three of his sisters, Lou, Jean and Ginger (the latter were twins) formed a singing group called, The Dinning Sisters, who had a Top Ten hit in the late 1940s.

Dinning took up the electric guitar in 1950, at the age of 17. By 1957 he was still wanted to get into the music business and started out pursuing a career in country music. Record producer, Wesley Rose, a Nashville publisher who liked what he heard when Dinning auditioned for him, got him a recording contract.

Considered a "one-hit wonder," Dinning's recording efforts met with limited success until 1960, when he recorded a single called, "Teen Angel," that was written by his sister Jean and her husband Red Surr.....MORE.....(full Mark Dinning biography)
