FURTADO REIGNS AT JUNO AWARDS NELLY FURTADO has swept the boards at the Juno Awards - Canada's version of the Grammy's - taking home five prizes. The 28-year-old singer doubled up as host and winner at the ceremony in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on Sunday (1APR07) - picking up the Best Single, Best Album and Fan's Choice awards, to add to the Best Artist and Pop Album of the Year gongs presented to her at a gala dinner on Saturday (31MAR07). After collecting the Fan's Choice award - voted by the Canadian public - Furtado said, ”I'm just happy to be here and humbled.” Other multiple nominees weren't so lucky, rapper k-os won nothing, despite being nominated for five awards. At the ceremony, rocker-turned-producer BOB ROCK was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame for his work with a string of rock greats, including METALLICA, AEROSMITH and MOTLEY CRUE. FURTADO ENGAGED Canadian singer NELLY FURTADO is reportedly engaged to her new boyfriend Demacio 'Demo' Castellon after an 18-month romance. The Maneater hitmaker, 28, admitted last summer (06) she had a ”secret boyfriend”, but refused to discuss her relationship further. U.S. magazine People reports Furtado and Castellon met in late 2005 when she was recording her hit album Loose - shortly after she split from long-term love, DJ Jasper 'Lil' Jaz' Gahunia - father of her three-year-old daughter Nevis.
