Peter, Paul & Mary Where Have all the Flowers
Gone Lyrics:
Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the flowers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the flowers gone?
Young girls have picked them, every one.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time passing?
Where have all the young girls gone, long time ago?
Where have all the young girls gone?
Gone for husbands, every one.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the husbands gone, long time passing?
Where have all the husbands gone, long time ago?
Where have all the husbands gone?
Gone for soldiers, every one.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone, long time passing?
Where have all the soldiers gone, long time ago?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards, every one.
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Oh, when will they ever learn?
Where have all the graveyards gone, long time passing?
Where have all the graveyards gone, long time ago?
Where have all the graveyards gone?

Where have all the flowers gone, long time passing?

[1] Pete Seeger began penning this folk classic in the mid-'50s, inspired by a
similar song sung by a group of soldiers in the Russian novel, "And Quiet
Flows the Don." Years later he added the phrases, "long time passing" and
"when will they ever learn," and he wrote the melody. The song proved very
popular during the American folk revival (1958-62).]
