1Personnel: Identical twins, Mary Anne & Marguerite "Marge" Ganser and
siblings, Mary & Elizabeth "Betty" Weiss1a, formed the original act. Mary
Weiss was the main, lead singer, Betty, however, took lead on "Maybe," and a
number of B-sides and album tracks, Marge Ganser took lead on "I'm Blue" and
Mary Ann Ganser took the lead on "Sophisticated Boom Boom."

1aBecause Betty was underage, her mother did not allow her to tour until
1966, when she became 18. As a result she often did not appear in photos, and
many fans believed the Shangri-Las were a trio. Few pictures show all 4 of
the girls.
