Shangri-Las Wishing Well Lyrics:
[Betty: (spoken)]
You can wish upon a star,
It makes no difference who you are.
Just do the simple things I do,
And all your wishes will come true.
[Betty: (sung)]
I have a wishing well.
I gotta fill the wishing well,
I'm gonna make my dreams come true,
And every wish will be 'bout you.
(First wish:) I'm gonna make a-you mine.
(Second wish:) You'll love me all the time.
(Third wish:) You'll make my dreams come true-oo.
(Fourth wish:) 'Cause all I want is you-oo.
(Fifth wish:) We'll never, never fight.
And we'll step out Friday night.
(Sixth wish:) You'll buy me pretty things.
(Seventh wish:) I get to wear your ring.
Wishing well,
I got myself a wishing well,
I'm gonna make my dreams come true,
And every wish will be 'bout you.
[Instrumental break with rhythmic clapping.]
(Ahhh.) (Ahhh.) (Ahhh.) (Ahhhhhhhhh.)
Wish, wish, wish you were mine. Hey!
Wish, wish, wish you were mine. Hey!

(Ninth wish:) Without my love you'll di-ie.
(Tenth wish:) You kiss with all your heart.
(Eleventh wish:) We'll never, never part.
(Twelfth wish:) We'll hear the bells all sing.
And I'll get my wedding ring.
(Next wish:) We'll always be together.
(Last wish:) Our love will last forever.
Wishing well,
I got myself a wishing well,
[Fade.]
I'm gonna make my dreams come true,
And every wish'll be about you.
Wishing well...
