My little girl went for a walk today.
She just wanted to find a place to play.
She remembered the park that was down the street,
the kids she would play with, the friends she would meet.
She walked and walked til her legs grew weak
when she realized the moistness gliding down her cheek.
She couldn't understand, did her mind move the park?

The windows are closing, the doors have been latched.
The threads are unravelling, the mind is detached.
The park is a brewery, the children long since gone.
The litle girl, saddened, cries, "where do I belong?"
A lady in waiting then reaches her hand:
come with me my child to the promised land.
The park at the corner is there now you see,
for my lady in waiting, and my little girl, me.
