1 "Girl Watcher," often mistakenly written as, "I'm a Girl Watcher," scored
a top ten hit in the U.S. in 1968 for the O'Kaysions. It peaked at #5 on the
Billboard Hot 100 chart and #6 on the U.S. R&B chart.

The O'Kaysions, originally named The Kays, were ablue-eyed soul group
from Wilson, North Carolina. "Girl Watcher," was first released locally
on the North State label, before being released nationally by ABC Record.
It was the group's only major hit. Since the song was recorded at a budget
studio, the master tapes have been lost, so every copy is a dub from a 45
record. In 1987, the song was reworked as "I'm a Wheel Watcher," to
promote the TV game show, Wheel-of-Fortune. The group still performs
today with a different line-up. Wayne Pittman is the only original member
remaining active and he also serves as the manager of the group.
