1 Carolyn Grissom was Dave Grissom's sister. Dave was one of
the first members of the group when they called themselves,
The 5 Bells & a Chime, however Dave left the group early in
1953 but by that time Alfonso Delany was in love with Carolyn
and she attended most of the rehearsals. She is not credited
on any of the labels, but in interviews with her, she claims
to have helped Eugene with "a couple of lines."

Their name, Rivileers, is a combination of "Rivoli," a
theater in Times Square (New York, NY), and "reveler,"
meaning one who takes great pleasure or delight in something.
