The Rolling Stones Wild Horses Lyrics:
Childhood living is easy to do,
The things you wanted, I bought them for you.
Graceless lady, you know who I am.
You know I can't let you slide through my hands.
(Wild horses couldn't drag me away.)
(Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away.)
I watched you suffer a dull aching pain,
Now you decided to show me the same.
No sweet, vain exits or offstage lines,
Could make me feel bitter or treat you unkind.
(Wild horses couldn't drag me away.)
(Wild, wild horses, couldn't drag me away.)
[Instrumental break.]
I know I've dreamed you a sin and a lie,
I have my freedom but I don't have much time.
Faith has been broken, tears must be cried,
Let's do some living after we've died.
(Wild horses couldn't drag me away.)
(Wild, wild horses), we'll ride them some day.
[Instrumental break.]
(Wild horses couldn't drag me away.)
(Wild, wild horses, we'll ride them some day.)

[1] It has often been speculated that the composition of "Wild Horses," bore a
strong influence from Gram Parsons, a friend of the group who spent a great
deal of time with Keith Richards in the late '60s and early '70s. Also, it
was one of the very few Stones' compositions ("As Tears Go By," was another)
to have been released by another artist prior to the release of the Stones'
version. Appropriately enough, that artist was Gram Parsons' country-rock
band, the Flying Burrito Brothers, who put it on their 1970 Burrito Deluxe album.
[2] Personnel: Mick Jagger (lead vocals), Keith Richards (guitars, vocals,
