five on the R&B Chart and eventually peaked at #3. It was also a top three hit
in Canada and Australia. It charted #15 in Netherlands and #28 in Germany.
1a It should be noted that often this song is attributed to the Animals or Eric
Burdon and the Animals, but "Spill the Wine" was never recorded by any
incarnation of The Animals. The confusion comes from the song being tacked on as
a bonus track to the albums: Official Live Bootleg #2, a compilation by Eric
Burdon & the New Animals from 2000; Greatfully Dead (1994-1968), which is an
Animals and Eric Burdon & the Animals compilation released in 2004, and the
